Terms of Use

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or playing Ocean Predators Game, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the game and must discontinue use immediately.

2. Accounts & Access Modes

Our game offers two ways to maintain gameplay progress:

• Google OAuth Account: Signing in via Google links your profile to a Firebase UID, enabling cross-device synchronization for high scores, level progression, and leaderboard rankings.
• Guest / Anonymous Mode: Playing as a guest assigns a temporary Firebase Anonymous UID to your browser session. Clearing your browser storage or switching devices will result in lost guest progress, for which we are not liable.

3. Prohibited Activities & Fair Play

To maintain fair competition on our public Firestore leaderboards, you agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Manipulating game memory, modifying client-side JavaScript, or executing automated scripts/bots to forge inflated high scores or level progress.
• Exploiting bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the game canvas engine or Firebase backend.
• Submitting offensive, harmful, or inappropriate display names to the public leaderboards.
• Interfering with, disrupting, or overburdening our Cloudflare distribution infrastructure or Google Firebase database instances.

We reserve the right to audit leaderboard scores and invalidate, wipe, or ban accounts caught violating fair play standards without prior notice.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the game source code, canvas scripts, graphics, user interface designs, audio, visual assets, trademarks, and logos are owned or licensed by us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and play the game for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only.

5. Service Availability & Game Balance

We continually update and refine game mechanics, level maps, predator behaviors, and scoring systems. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the game at any time without notice. We are not liable for any downtime caused by hosting platforms (Cloudflare) or database providers (Google Firebase).

6. Limitation of Liability

The game is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We shall not be liable for any loss of save data, high scores, browser storage clearing, or direct/indirect damages arising out of your access or inability to access the game.

7. Account Termination & Deletion

You may request the permanent deletion of your account and associated Firestore data at any time by contacting support. We reserve the right to suspend or revoke database access for any user who violates these Terms, cheats, or submits fraudulent leaderboard scores.
