• Account Identifiers: Every player (whether signed in via Google or playing as a Guest) is assigned a unique identifier (UID) generated by Google Firebase.
• Google OAuth Profile: When you sign in with Google, we store your public display name, email address, and profile picture URL linked to your UID to enable cross-device progress syncing.
• Game Progress & High Scores: We store identical game statistics (high scores, unlocked level maps, and leaderboard standings) in Google Cloud Firestore tied to your UID regardless of authentication method.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used exclusively for operating and improving the game, including:

• Saving your game progress, unlocked levels, and high scores across sessions.
• Displaying public leaderboard standings (only your display name and score are visible to other players).
• Authenticating your account securely via Google Firebase.
• Maintaining game balance, anti-cheat mechanisms, and server security.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted third-party infrastructure services to host and power the game:

• Google Firebase & Firestore: Used for secure user authentication, database storage, and cloud backend operations. Google handles authentication data according to the Google Privacy Policy.
• cloudflare: Used for static asset delivery and web hosting.

We employ industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/SSL) and Firebase Security Rules to restrict unauthorized access to your cloud data. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your personal data:

• Guest Data Wipes: Guest progress tied to browser storage can be cleared directly through your browser's site settings or cookies.
• Manual Account & Data Deletion: To permanently delete your Google-linked account, leaderboard scores, and Firestore records, email us at ocean-predators@googlegroups.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Please include your registered email address and your Swimmer ID (found at the top right of your Map Screen).

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to have it removed.
